Overview

Join us for our second in-person event in what will be two years (!) as we return to Brewhouse & Kitchen to continue our calendar of events for 2022 with what will be both an inspirational and informative talk from Sue Churchill of Church Lukas and Grace Conisbee of Innes England.

Jointly covering expertise in design, construction and operation of assets in the Built Environment, Sue and Grace have come together to share some practical thoughts on what part we can each play in making a positive contribution to tackling climate change, in both a professional and personal capacity’

Overview

We work in a sector that is responsible for 40% of global Greenhouse Gas emissions. We are the first generation to grow up with a detailed understanding of climate change and the last that can do anything about it. That is a huge responsibility to our future generations. In our collective race to net zero, each one of us must make rapid and systemic change. The hardest part is sometimes knowing where to start and then taking the first step. Regardless of whether you are already on your journey or just thinking about starting it, the presentation will help to give you the confidence and determination to be part of the solution.

In a bid to make this session collaborative, it would be great if attendees could take the time to complete an assessment of their own carbon footprint using this free online tool (optional)  https://zero.giki.earth/
