After a short break over the Summer, we are delighted to be returning with our next seminar which will be our last of 2022.
TOPIC
There is a suggestion of rent control in residential – not by a Tory Government, but likely to be a labour policy. There are rumours of the LTA54 being re-written. The law in Scotland is very different with no automatic right to renew. How much should government interfere / intervene? Tim will look at what this might mean and whether history or other markets can give us any clues.

GUEST SPEAKER
Tim Garrett
I have been advising clients for over 40 years and started my professional life as an Architectural Technician, then graduated in 1988 as a General Practice Surveyor at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and now value, acquire, dispose, lease and let commercial property and residential land. I deal with rent reviews, lease renewals and dilapidation claims - for both landlord and tenant. I can be forensic or strategic as the task requires but I always have an eye for the commercial deal.
I am a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an RICS Registered Valuer and lecture (part-time) on the final year Commercial Real Estate under-graduate course at Nottingham Trent University - where I graduated.
For fun I play golf (badly) and squash (equally badly) and enjoy photography and sketching buildings.
We currently have no other events currently planned., but keep checking back soon.
